Personalised golf gifts start with their course, not their initials.

Most golfers are loyal to one piece of ground. The same eighteen holes, the same walk from the ninth to the tenth, the same par three they have never once been happy with. Personalised, on this site, means that ground: a photograph of the course they play, repainted and printed. It doesn't mean their initials added to something bought in.

What personalised means here. Two products are built from something the golfer owns rather than from a fixed design, and they are the ones to start with if the word is the whole point of the gift.

What you can actually personalise

One thing: the picture. You supply a photograph of a golf course and we work from that photograph. There is no text field in either flow, so we don't add a name, a club, a handicap or a date, and nothing on this site is engraved or monogrammed. What makes the finished piece theirs is that it is their course, photographed from somewhere they have stood, which is a harder thing to fake than a name in a serif font.

The two ways to do it

  • The course print: upload one clear photo of a hole, a view or the clubhouse, and pick one of five painting styles: oil, watercolour, charcoal, pop art or impressionist. You see a free watermarked preview and accept the picture on screen before you pay. Posters from £19.99; frames cost more again.
  • Print your golf photo: their own photograph printed exactly as it is, with no restyling. We measure the file against every size we sell first and won't sell you a size the photo can't carry. Posters from £17.99, framed from £69.00.

Whose photograph, and of what

It doesn't have to be their home club. A holiday round, a links they talk about, the resort course where something happened that has nothing to do with golf: any of those work, because the point is that they recognise the ground. A landscape shot in decent light beats a dramatic angle taken at dusk, and a heavily zoomed crop is the one thing that reliably disappoints. If you've no photograph at all, this isn't the gift, and the honest answer is further down.

When there is no photograph: pick the moment instead

Not every golfer has a picture of their course, and not every buyer can get one without spoiling the surprise. The rest of the collection is original painting, and the way to make that personal is to pick the moment rather than the place. The First Tee is a parkland hole at dawn with the mist still lifting, for the golfer who books the earliest slot going. Links at Dusk is a windswept coastal course under a peach sky, for the one who plays the wind rather than the yardage. Dawn Fourball is four players in silhouette on a heathland morning, which is a gift about the people as much as the game. The Island Green is a short par three over still water, for anyone who has ever put two in from a hundred and forty yards. And The Nineteenth and Clubhouse Evening are both about the hour after the round, which for a good many golfers is the part they would actually choose to have on the wall.

Made to order

Nothing is printed until it is ordered, so allow a few working days for production before it ships. Posters travel rolled in a tube; framed and canvas pieces arrive ready to hang. Every price includes UK delivery. If a date is tight, ask before you order rather than afterwards.

Where this sits

This is the middle of their course, the stage about the one piece of ground a golfer keeps returning to. How a course print is made walks the same process step by step, and prizes for a society day is the same argument applied to a whole prize table.

Before you buy

What makes a golf gift a personalised golf gift?
On this site, the photograph. You upload a picture of a golf course and we either repaint it in one of five styles or print it as it is. There is no text field, so no name, club or date is added, and nothing is engraved.
Can I add their name, their club or a date to the print?
No. Neither flow takes text, and we would rather say so than take the order and disappoint you. The personalisation is the course itself.
Are personalised golf gifts more expensive than the original artworks?
A little. A course print poster starts at £19.99 against £17.99 for an original artwork poster. The difference is the render, not a personalisation fee.
I do not have a photo of their course. What then?
Pick the moment instead of the place. The original paintings each capture a specific kind of round, from a dawn fourball to a coastal links at dusk, and choosing the one closest to how they actually play is its own kind of personal.
